Like a cold heartless wind from Siberia
The invisible cold hand of Covid wanders the earth
Why we ask, what is it criteria
Easy – our lives are all it seeks
It feeds off ignorance and indifference
Who me? It will never take me!
Are you prepared to wait and see?
Can it be beaten?
Can it be controlled?
Will we work together to solve a pandemic?
Or is it going to be a permanent epidemic?
Politicians lie
Populations die
Can individuals help?
But you maybe on your own
Will your voice just be a faint yelp
As you are alone
But, humanity is resilient
And can be brilliant
So people please work together
So Covid doesn’t last for ever.
