Why do we seek salvation?
What for I ask, isn’t my mind free
Which line do I join in the station
To admit wrongs and plea
Seeking salvation from harm
Running from the pain of the earth
Where will I find a place to warm
Do I know if salvation has a worth?
They say salvation is good for my soul
But my soul is mine, not to be owned
Surely it is mine to control
Such pressure, my heart just groaned
Salvation, salvation, salvation
It must lie with me
Just decide on an expectation
Or do I need to fall on my knee.
