The Desert

The cold desert night freezes my heart
What brought me to this spot
Why why are we apart
I thought we had found our Camelot

The desert sky is bright with stars
But none shine on my heart
All I feel is the pain of my scars
As I struggle to grasp why we are apart

The desert heat is gone
Taking with it the warmth of your touch
All I can do is try to go on and on
Everything is just too much

The desert sand hold my feet tight
Anchoring me in a world I no longer need
Nothing now brings me any delight
My heart just wants to bleed

Will the desert take me to its bosom?
And bury me in its silent glory
I have lost my love, my woman
And I no longer want to continue my story.
