Why does the world ignore the screams of children?
As bomb after bomb falls from the sky
Do they think they are just destroying a building?
As no one ever sees the children die
They say we bomb for peace and justice
Tell the dead children that
While those in power say trust us
Somehow their words seem flat
They, whoever they are, say
Children are our future
They will lead the way
As they press buttons on their computers
And more and more children die
Month after month, year after year
The world has forgotten how to cry
And children are no longer held dear.
