I now look back
At all the places I came from
Was I on the right track?
Certainly nothing was ever humdrum
So many moves, so many schools
A life on wheels without a base
But so many moments were jewels
And who needed a permanent place
I lost friends, made new friends
To late now to find those lost
But we are told all good things end
So I don’t stop and count the cost
I am again moving on
With some regret I must say
But it is time to be gone
And tomorrow is a new day
But now I have friends here
Who will stay
And not disappear
As I am not moving away.
