The Circus

The circus is coming
Posters on trees, on walls
The air is humming
Waiting to hear the clown’s call

Lions and tigers
Hopefully this year an elephant
So many horse riders
Certainly nothing is ever irrelevant

Clowns tumble and fall
Trapeze artists swing so high
Dwarfs that are so small
But watch out for a custard pie

So, we await an event of fun
An annual event
Just right for every and anyone
All happening in a big tent.
