The Lady of Valletta

Aerial View of the Capital City of Malta. Valletta. The city will be the European Capita of Culture in 2018. One can clearly see the Breakwater and the entrance to the "Grand Harbour", a large natural deep water harbour. Once home to the British Fleet during world war 2.

The Lady of Valletta is seen at midnight
Walking the walls of the city
Radiant in the moonlight
But wrapped in a clock of pity

She watches over her city
Seeing all, the good and the bad
The ugly and the pretty
But her face is always sad

She is the guardian angel
Of the Knights of St John
Waiting for any lost stranger
Giving them peace so their soul can move on.
