The Flame

It was the night of all nights
The fairies and elves came
To welcome the Prince of The Northern Lights
Who had come to rekindle the flame

Darkness had taken over
Reducing the power of the flame
And the forest felt old and cold
And nothing was the same

Creatures large and small hide
Always afraid, always alone
Even when standing together side by side
As their forest was no longer a safe home

But the Prince with powers of wonder and magic
Drove out the darkness
He forest was no longer tragic
And the flame again shone with a magnificent brightness.
