The Pearl of the Atlantic

The island draws me
Year after year
Once there watching the sea
Can always bring a tear

Alone in a Northern Ocean
The island stands tall
And attracts such devotion
From one and all

An island to walk in
So many Levadas long and short
And views that put you in a spin
But for some you need an escort

Fresh fruit and fish
In wonderful abundance
Whatever you want just wish
But bar in mind your circumference

It is the pearl of the Atlantic
So beautiful and free
How can you not be romantic?
Hand in hand watching Madeira’s sea.
