The woodland is slowly changing
Vibrant green into rustic red
It’s natures time to be rearranging
For Autumn to raise its head
A season famous for so much change
Harvest time, turning leaves, darkening nights
And Halloween which can be strange
But also, maybe containing some delights
Leaves of brilliant reds, yellows and amber
Form carpets under our feet
As October moves to November
A woodland in Autumn is a place to meet.
