The waves of darkness
Visit me in the night
How I long for dawn’s brightness
To put, for a day, my world to right
But when the moon is rising
The waves arrive again
Never ever compromising
And nightly adding to my pain
When the night is gone
The waves will recede
And I welcome the dawn
As for a while my heart will cease to bleed.
