Trucks going north to south, east to west
On dark nights on dark roads
All carrying a full load
With little time to rest
Trucks serving the multitude
Carrying everything from furniture
To medicines, to wine, to food
And let’s not forget art and literature
Trucks roll on lanes, on highways
Through hills and valleys
In and out of villages on byways
And dropping loads off at back alleys
Trucks are always needed
They have no time to retire
Only resting when the job is completed
Delivering all the multitude require.
