Falling Leaves

Love is like falling leaves from a tree
Each leaf a memory, a fleeting touch
That flutters down like kisses in the air
Dancing upon the breeze, so light and free

But like leaves love must adjust
And as seasons change in life’s parade
In the beauty of each leaf
There’s a reminder that love can collapse

So, when branches are bare
You hear the whisper of the wind
Carrying love’s message, so soft, so near
Saying love is an eternal presence, always there

Life’s seasons will come what may
But let love be like the leaves that fall
Both a timeless dance embracing all
Leaves will return and love will always flourish and never fade away.
