I Walk a Path

I walk a path with the blues
In a world of shadows where moonlight sleeps
In the heart of a neon-sign city
Music on Beale can make your heart weep

Songs of longing, sung on the street
In the dark of the night a guitar cries
Pain and sorrow play beneath the moon
Stop, listen, hear the blues under starlit skies

In smoke filled bars a band plays
Guitars weep, a piano sighs
I find solace in the blues
It touches sorrow that within me lies

So, I walk a path where blues unfold
In the highs and lows, joys and strife
Each song is a story told
I embrace my path with the blues as it my life.
