The Dove Cote

In a garden where water lilies bloom
In a quiet lake, beneath the Spring’s sun
There stands a dove cote, so so fair
And whispers of peace fill the morning air

Its timber aged by stories yet told
A sanctuary for so many years
Within its wall, a soft cooing choir
Songs of love, soaring ever higher

A haven of solace and peace
Among an abundance of green shrubs
Standing above the lake where lilies rest
The dove cote is a quiet nest

In the golden glow of a Spring morning
The doves take flight, their song
A melody of hope and grace
Guiding broken hearts to a peaceful place

So, let us wander where the dove cote stands
Down by the lake and lilies
And amidst such beauty let us fine
The solace and peace of heart and mind.
