A Lake of Magic

We walked in the park, evening had arrived
And a lake of magic drew our hearts
The fountains danced to the nightingale’s song
And we knew where our hearts belong

White lights twinkled in the trees
Reflecting on the still silent water
On an evening such as this what could go wrong
And we knew where our hearts belong

Statues in the lake seem to move and smile
Inviting us to walk on the water and dance in the fountains
The magic of the evening, the lake, held us close, making us strong
And we knew where our hearts belong.
