In the hush of the dawn, a mist hangs across the land
And silently in whispers of the night
It talks of secrets hidden, that no man should know
But will the sun break through and bring the morning light
Or will the mist in its gentle dance turn to fog
Hide our world so we can’t see the day
The future of the day is fragile thread
And what paths will unfold if the shadows stay
The dawn will break, clear and bright, we can greet the day
But every dawn is uncertain, shy
And in this mist we can but hope
That we will see a clear blue sky
But whether a foggy or a sunny day
It will be at some point be before us
It will then be us to decide our fate
As when we enter any day, come mist or sun, that is forever thus.
