Now chilly air is there in the morning
The warmth is fading from the sun
Now colder winds blow
A change is happening, Summer is letting go
We see birds leaving our gardens, heading South
Trees starting to change colour, slowly loosing leaves
But yes, they promise renewal
However, somehow seeing green beauty fade seems cruel
Yet there is a beauty in Autumn
Light so soft you want to touch
We turn from worshipping the sun
And at times we are glad Summer is done
We light the fire, find warm blankets
Relax and stop for a while
Enjoy this quiet season with glee
Realising how beautiful letting go can be.
