If I had a hammer, I ‘d knock on your conscience
Bang it in homes, letting its echo fill the halls
Not to encourage lawlessness, but to wake the sleeping
To ask who protects the people when ICE calls
If I had a bell, I’d ring it for kids
Telling them what a knock can mean at night
Ring it for papers signed by force
Ring it for ICE that blur wrong and right
If I had a song, I’d sing it simple and loud
About power gone mad, bullies without shame
Streets living in fear, bullies without mercy
And a once proud nation losing its good name.
