The couple stood in silence
Watching as the sun prepared to sink out of sight
They had come to the sea seeking guidance
Looking to put their world to right
But the day had been unkind and hard
A Winter’s day of fog, cold and wind
Had left their hearts still scarred
And the past had not been left behind
