Injustice walks beside us, it always has
It’s been a silent whisper society choose not to hear
Yet was saw the pain in hungry eyes
We couldn’t fail to hear staving cries
Injustice walks beside us, it always has
We now see pain and suffering twenty-four seven
It is nonstop, just a never-ending tale
As if part of a new holy grail
Injustice walks beside us, it always has
We now donate a tin, we drop a coin
But are our actions just veils
In a world where justice pails
Injustice walks beside us, it always has
Justice isn’t charity, certainly not empathy
It never tears down walls, change the ground
Somehow the will is never found
Injustice walks beside us, it always has
Yet justice can be heard, be claimed
If only it stopped being a passing trend
And changes made that took root and didn’t bend.
