Lilies in the Rain

By the side of the cabin, quiet and still
Lilies burst from their pot
Pink and yellow petals, amazing and wide
Welcoming drops from the grey sky’s tide

Each raindrop lands with a gentle touch
It’s a dance of joy, a moment of bliss
In their pot the lilies reign
As they gently sway in the soft rain

Cradled in earth, no need to move
They drink in the rain and feel at home
Amazing blooms, strong and true
In the rain they wear their brightest hue.
