Rain was falling as we left
Wipers clearing our way
But wished it was a fine day
To head up The Lakes
No rain, thankfully, on the M6
But it soon came again
Glad no longer in the fast lane
As a meander was the next part
We drove through hailstorms in abundance
Large lakes on the roads running alongside the real
But seeing The Lakes really was a real deal
So, despite an eventful journey glad we came
New days ahead at the Words by the Water Festival
So many great events to attend
And who knows, might even make new friends
And perhaps even sell copies of my new book.
