Thunder

The thunder rolled across the dark night
Waking some from slumber with a fright
In villages, towns, farms and canals
Raindrops were treated like long lost pals

Now we ask ourselves is summer done
Will the clouds open again releasing the sun
We must wait on nature’s decision
Only she knows her vision.
