They say lockdown is ending
The new normal is with us
But lockdown is now bending
These changes, should we be making a fuss
Schools go back, pubs shut down
Is this Government run by a clown?
Hands, face, space
This we are told to embrace
To keep us sound
To keep our feet on the ground
A new plan from the clown
Over fifties to be secured at home
Many will be all alone
Maybe our clown wants a crown
Now we are told young people are carriers
But regarding Covid they have no barriers
They say, teachers go back and teach
But they would be safer on a beach
When will the clown be replaced?
Many would say that is a waste
But people will stay alive
Or do we want 100,000 deaths
