Christmas Shopping

This shop, that shop, the other shop
This from here, that from there
Forget about coffee no time to stop
The Christmas cupboard is bare

The joy of picking a present
This for her, that for him
And will they think it’s pleasant
If you go out on a limb

Buy a fancy overpriced knick-knack
From a Christmas market
And stand back and wait for feedback
I wish someone would buy me a magic carpet

To escape to wonderland
Or to go bar hopping
As I don’t understand the joy of Christmas shopping.
