It’s International Poetry Day so be bold
Time for simple verses
From poets young and old
Maybe even about doctors and nurses
So, put pen to paper
Let you mind wander
And yes, at times you may need an eraser
While you write and ponder
Write stories in verses that rhyme
Maybe even about something tragic
But just sit and take your time
And you could even write something magic.
