The Rocking Horse

The rocking horse now stands alone
Once used so often
The children now flown
But it is not forgotten

It now has a new home
A restful life in a sunny room
It no longer needs to roam
Or hide in the gloom

It may never have another rider
And it’s one of the last of its breed
But everything is brighter
As we look after all its needs.
