Looking For You

I want you to love me
But in our world you don’t see
So, I opened a door to a parallel life
One where you would be my wife

I hoped, no I prayed, for a love
That would fit like a glove
But dreams can take strange shapes
And all I meet are fakes

I searched for you
But the sky wasn’t blue
And in a world without a heart
We would always be apart

So, through another door
To a land with a red shore
Would I find you this time
And love would rhyme

But when my searches get weary
Through worlds that are sad and dreary
Love loses its attraction
And I wonder if I am chasing a fixation

World after world I wander
I do stop, I do ponder
Will I ever find the you I want
It’s a thought that taunts

So, should I leave the multiverse
Go back to my own universe
Leave behind fractured realities
And put away my fantasies.
