Ordinary moments glow brighter at Christmas
A family meal becomes fun when all wear a paper hat
Stories are told, old and new, about the year
Many make laughter, some may bring a tear
The house is full of sparkling lights
A green tree festooned with wonders
Visitors come, visitors go all wishing everyone well
And from the kitchen an amazing smell
New board games appear, all have to play
But togetherness is the winner
An ordinary moment turned to gold
And fun bonds the young and the old
So, when Christmas is over, a new year is here
And Christmas is again packed away
There’s no need for life to be gray
As ordinary moments happen everyday.
