Humanity is fragile, so easily abandoned
Kindness, empathy, altruism, compassion
All now seem to be out of fashion
Has the world turned its back on love
Death and disorder have replaced care and concern
People die in our streets defending justice and truth
Is this really the example we put before our youth
That violence is the only was forward
Will we ever see a change, it is a worry
It feels like two world wars are forgotten
And to ignore those who died for freedom is to say the least rotten
We must hope that one day honour and decency will re-emerge.
