The silent embrace of loss hangs in the air
When grief’s shadows walk among us
Yet in those sorrowful moments we can find grace
As in our hearts memories discover a resting place
In the silent embrace of loss we find
Strength to heal, as the pain fades
As within this darkness there is a flicker of light
From so many warm memories that shine bright
In the silent embrace of loss hold each other near
Remember and cherish moments from times past
And when memories make tears fall
Trust your heart to answer the call
So, in the silent embrace of loss I write this poem of sorrow
To embrace, understand and move forward
For in the tapestry of life’s complicated design
Loss and healing will always intertwine.
