Angels Watch Over You

Angel in the clouds on blue sky

You walk a lonely road
But angels do watch over you
They want to lighten your load
But they can’t walk in your shoes

I left to see, to learn
From the wonders in the world
But I knew I would return

The countryside is at peace
The sun is shining on green pastures
Even the tractors are resting
As I stop and gaze in rapture

The sea is still, Poseidon sleeps
The white horse are gone
As he rests in the deeps
All is peace and tranquility

The Aegean, the sky, the table, the wine glass
What a place to spend a week or two

We all talk about it

Sun came up this morning
As it always does
White horses are adorning

The morning wind blows
